Civitella del Tronto is part of the union of the Territory – Val Vibrata Municipalities and is included in the club of the most beautiful Villages in Italy. Perched on a rocky spur in the Salinello Valley, it was founded around the 10th Century and represents the last Bourbon fortress. The town is characterized by various medieval houses of great historical and architectural interest that make the central streets of the small village picturesque and unique.

To see: The Fortress dates back to the 13th century and due to its strategic position it has always been one of the most disputed castles. Other mandatory stops are the Church of San Francesco and the Church of San Lorenzo of the thirteenth century.
